What Is Reiki?

The word “Reiki” means “mysterious atmosphere, miraculous sign.” It comes from the Japanese words “rei” (universal) and “ki” (life energy). Reiki is a type of energy healing.

 

Energy healing targets the energy fields around the body.

 

Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or possibly emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause illness.

Treatments

Basic REIKI Treatment

A typical reiki session lasts between 20 and 90 minutes. At your first appointment, you’ll meet with your reiki practitioner. You’ll have a short introduction or chat about the process and your expectations or intentions. Let your practitioner know about any symptoms you want addressed or if there are places in the body on which you’d like them to focus...

Basic REIKI Treatment at Distance

During a Reiki in-person session, the therapist does not need to physically touch the body. The healing session can be performed with the hands just above the body and it is just as effective as a hands-on treatment or a Reiki distance session.

1. Just for today, I do not anger.

3. Just for today, I am grateful for my many blessings.
4. Just for today, I work meticulously and honestly (and on myself).
5. Just for today, I am kind to all living things.
